I would just like to know what it the better deal and what each of the two is better used for.

So what do you think each one is best for, or what one is the better one over all.

Well I can tell you right now, like the title said Reseller hosting is for selling your own webspace to customers. With the reseller hosting you have access to your own WHM and you can make your own paid host.

 

If you just get the paid account you have the hosting to yourself and you could probably lend some space to a friend if you wanted to for free(no paying). 8)

So with Reseller Hosting i can have access to my server host? or what not?

 

Can you not sell space to people with the normal Paid Hosting?

 

Also on the terms of use for the Reseller Hosting and Paid Hosting plans what does this mean exactly?

Does the Reseller Hosting come with your own domain names like so?

Paid Hosting

 

What kinda site(s) is this/these plan(s) best for? For normal sites that just need some space to put up something like a graphics site, or a game site, or clan, etc.

What is the difference of this Hosting from the Reseller Hosting? This hosting does not come with Web Host Manager(WMH) which allows you to add and change packages, and domains, and other things. Not needed when your just going to be using one domain.

What is the downside in going with Paid Hosting instead of Reseller Hosting? You dont get WMH access which is not needed if you dont need to add mulitple domains and dont want to sell your hosting to people.

What kinda site(s) is this/these plan(s) best for? Sites that sell webspace for hosting, or for things like map donwloads for games, or if you just need to add multiple domains for things you own, and the best reseller plan has more space and bandwidth than the best paid plan

What is the difference of this Hosting from the Paid Hosting? Reseller comes with WMH access as well as the ability to add and delete multiple account packages(packages control how much space and bandwith each account is alloted, along with mysql databases and e-mail etc) and also it just has more control

What is the downside in going with Reseller Hosting instead of Paid Hosting?[/i] Only real downside is its more expensive than paid hositng. And you have to know a little bit about how to use WMH.

But if your site is going to keep one domain, and you dont need to add alot of new ones, or ur not going to sell anything, and you dont need more space/bandwith, go with just normla paid

it means your not allowed to buy a reseller, then give out free hosting like FNH used too. And with paid you get shell access, and with reseller you get WMH and shell. And you cant sell space to people with paid, you can give a freind or two a site using subdomain or addon domain, or you can just get reseller and sell them one.

 

and also i do not know if reseller comes with a domain name, i jsut know paid doesnt or at least when i got it.

Thank you StonedDevil that has helped.So if i were going to make a graphic site for making website templates/logos/banners/sigs and offering service to help slice and code other peoples templats for small fees (Like chage small fees for my templates and template sliceing and codeing service) then Reseller Hosting would be the best choice?And how easy is it to switch from Paid hosting to Reseller Hosting? or is it easy? :shock:

i dont know if admin offers switching, and for what u need, u just need paid, but if u want just get the $7 paid hosting, its awesome. And you can seel stuff with normal paid, but you cant sell web space and hosting, reseller is for selling HOSTING ACCOUNTS like the ones that FNH sells

I would think that paid would be the best for that. reseller is most often used when you're offering hosting yourself. And I have no idea about switching types of plans.

Ok thanks a lot, my question there has been answered (That if you can sell things)So my other question is no longer needed about switching, really all you would have to do is cancel your Paid Hosting then reorder a Reseller Hosting plan. And i have bought the "B" plan over 2 weeks ago (The $7 dollar one), space and traffic looks great, more then what i need but hey i like to have lots. ;)I just hope i get my account setup soon. :shock:
