Advertisements are presently visible to Logged in members and Guests. And only the advertisements shown on the Topic Pages are shared. The rest of the pages are not shared. (eg. Forum Index, Gallery etc) The Banner Ad (not link ads) shown on Xisto (to guests) are not a part of this Revenue sharing program.

I think this is a pretty cool idea. I guess this makes the tags for the page very important as well now seeing as the ads will probably be based off them as well and the more people that come to the page the better chance they will click the ads. Great work OpaQue, always finding new features that benefit all. That's why I love this place.

Yes.....very great idea. No other forum has these type of excitement features and surprises. Xisto is great. Even though I have small doubts regarding this adrevenue sharing, I had already registered at Kontera and saved my pubisher id in Advertising Settings at MyControls. Let us wait and see how it works...

When you are not viewing a topic, any ads displayed will belong to the site administrator. However, when you are viewing a topic, we will shuffle between the site administrator's ads, and the ad accounts of the topic starter, last poster, and other posters based on a probability factor.

Does it mean I'll get revenue only when I'm online and viewing that particular topic? (ofcourse only if someone clicked the link) and I should have a post in that topic, to show ads with my publisher id? And if I'm offline...no ads with my id?

Oh I didn't pick up on that which xpress quoted - could we get some clarification on that? My interpretation is that it means user-linked ads are only for the forum threads, and not for other pages such as the home page. Is this correct?

Very clever, OpaQue! You get money for displaying the ads and part of that goes to us, which benifits all 3 parties. I like that. Great work!This could be almost as a second incentive for posting on the Xisto forums which makes the Credit System more useful than it already is. Interesting idea, and now people will stop posting their referral links , but of course now Xisto members will have a source of income to help pay for their hosting to help cover the costs with the use of Mycents. So it should be interesting if anyone makes a profit from this, but the one problem I will see thought is that eventually the forum will be one giant link, but odds are the mod that was used to set this up is customizable to prevent that. Either way it should be interesting how this ad revenue works out.

Well does anybody know how Kontera pays out? Just by looking at their site, it seems as if they only pay via checks through the mail. Does anybody know if they payout via paypal at all?

Yes......PayPal Option is also available. Anotehr option is also there. That is Wire transfer. So three payout options totally...Check, Wire and PayPal.

But seeing as we input a colour for our links, you should probably be able to spot your links via the colour! Maybe we shouldn't be able to pick the colour? =|

Also a question: Since not all the users here are going to use this (for example all the users that haven't been around for years but still have posts in old threads), if they are the last poster or topic starter, does the ad displayed belong to the site admins? And in the case of a 'random poster', does it pick a random poster with an account for the advertisements, or would it pick an arbitrary poster and have the ad linked to the administrator if they do not have a specified publisher ID?

Nabb @ I don't know. However, I m sure this Program gives all the extra bucks to me or atleast I hope it tries to keep me the most happy. That's why I changed the percentages and reduced my earning % even further.

And also..the kontera ads are displaying at some improper places...for example they are displaying in Title of the topic...and at some members personal statement below avatar. The words(changed by ads) are looking annoying at those places. Is there anyway to contrlo the ads at those places?

A thought occured me to about this and that being link colors and that is because I saw someone choose pink, bleh. First is don't chose eye sore colors or colors that make text hard to read and also I don't know if it against the TOS but I would think everyone should list their color and that way people don't chose the same colors and make it a lot more complicated .

First of all, your work as a team is inovative, motivating, original and fair, and those are a lot more qualities then anyother service alike on the internet, which makes me feel quite good to be a part and a member of the Xisto web project, comunity and network.Now, concerning the topic title, kontera, and its relation to the trao17.com website members to be exact, i have a question, whish i hope is not lame, but since i did not use kontera service ever, i do not know, so my question is, do we register there as an advertiser or as a publisher?The reason is that i do not know which is the proper and correct for us to register, so i expect your answer soon, i can not register untill i know which one i should use.
