Can I Get More Bandwidth ? I Have High Traffic !

Recommended Posts

hi

i reach 1.5 gig transfer only after 4 days :(

can you increase limit  to 8-10 gig

because i have 1000 visitors per day

<{POST_SNAPBACK}>

Well, soleimanian, I don't think OpaQue will grant even more bandwidth, if you put up Google Adsense or something like ads, you should be able to actually make some money and switch to paid hosting, which is my recommendation with your level of visitors :D I did look at your site, but I can't recall if you have ads or not (sorry). And I can't read it :D My best guess is that your site is in Arabic?

Anyhow, I think it would be best if you switch to paid hosting with a plan that has more bandwidth.

you should read what moonwitch said. you will probably NOT get more bandwidth as OpaQue cannot grant it to a selected individual as everyone will begin to want it. if you need more bandwidth like moonwitch suggested start paying. i believe that is the only way you will get what you need this time.

If your website is getting that much traffic you should be able to put some adds on it and make some money.

Switch to paid hosting, Xisto from what I am aware of is affiliated with Computing Hosting

I have looked at their prices and they have the best hosting deals I have every seen.

One of their premium plans lists at $4 a month and that gives you already 33 GB bandwidth a month, plus all the features you could hope for in a service.

For $10 you get 100 GB bandwidth. Thats insane. Then of course it comes with everything Xisto has but better. Higher percentage uptime, less crashes, dedicated servers for more speed and faster support. It has it all.

I highly suggest you look at those deals they are nothing short of amazing.

Wait, are you even hosted by Xisto? It doesn't say hosted under your name like it does mine.If Xisto isn't hosting your website then your posting in the wrong forums buddy.Contact your hosting provider about this or switch to a provider that will give you more bandwidth.

Yup, this is quite an old discussion. But now that I am here, let me say a few things. As you all know, there are now TWO hosting packages. The bigger one offers 5GB of bandwidth, which should be enough for anyone. However, if an individual finds that his/her site spends more than 5GB/month, it's not a reason to ask for more. It's a pointer that your site is too good to be on a free server.Take me for example. I've started with one web site, and it used to spend only a few hundreds of MB per month. Now I have 3 web sites, and together they spend almost 5GB! Nevertheless, I'm not going to ask for any special treatment, but switch to paid hosting :) It's as simple as that.

I think I have to put it down here that I agree with Pyost and add a few things. If ones bandwidth is getting used up pretty fast, it means two things. One is good and the other is bad.The bad thing would be that it gets used up serving requests for some unwanted graphics like it would have been for some graphically heavy designs that are based on tables for positioning and layout. In such a case, one should think of optimizing the visiual elements, shifting to GIF or PNG, reducing the image file size May be you should consider shifting the design from a table oriented old-timer appraoach to the CSS designed standard complaint present approach.Or the good thing could be that you are getting genuine visitors that take up the bandwidth requesting for the textual data itself. Which of the two you face? That could be answered by doing some simple analysis on the WebStat analyzer reports. If it is the genunie bandwidth usage, then as Pyost said, your site must be really good.Take time to nourish it by shifting it to a paid hosting provided (Xisto - Web Hosting for example) and then think about monetizing it to complement the costs using Adsense or similar Advertisement network.

I agree with Pyost here...I came to asta looking for a place I could try out ideas and have fun learning some new languages like PHP and MySQL so finding somewhere that boasts these things as a free service is hard..I looked around for a day before I stumbled on a review for Xisto then was knocked out by the features is has to offer...Unfortunatly I am really broke money wise atm ;(( (too many Nike sneakers and football strips for my son) but in the next coming months I will be a lot better off...One of the first things I am going to do is whizz over to Xisto - Web Hosting.com and register a domain name there...the deals are pretty good and I feel I wanna give Xisto some money for setting up Xisto in the first place. If my sites take off and need more bandwidth the first thing I would do is goto Xisto - Web Hosting again and sign up for their deal 2.1g and 33.3gig Bandwidth for only $3.33 a month...pretty amazing deals with all those features I think..I hope Xisto get a lot of customers this way..by giving us a sandbox to play in then when were ready for the real deal they offer such good prices for amazing features.Mark420 Asta/Xisto lover :)
